Since we've opened the Holmsted Himalayas Campsite, we're branched out into doing private events of all kinds. Our beautiful site, sat atop the Ouse Valley AONB, offers a peaceful and tranquil location with plenty of space available for anything you may have planned!
We're into our 3rd year up and running, with 2023 being the 2nd year we've hosted private events at the site and in total we have now had 13 private hire weekends; all of which have been very successful for all involved! This year began with a large hen-do, 55 ladies from 18 to 85 years old all staying at the site; we organised a mobile bar for them to use one evening, as well as a local caterer who cooked a BBQ, and provided tables, chairs and decorations.
Our next event was the yearly Conquer The Farm crossfit event, with over 200 people at the the site on Saturday watching and competing in the farm fitness competition; we just hired them the site and were on hand to help moving things around, but all else was organised by the event hosts. We know some people prefer to put their own events together with their own suppliers so we offer just a field hire package with toilets and showers, allowing you to create your perfect set up without us getting in the way.
Following this, we entered camping season and had a number of private camping hires, with groups of friends and family enjoying having exclusive use of the site and its surroundings without anybody else there to bother them. We have 10 of our own bell tents available to camp in, as well as a supplier on the farm who can put as many more down as needed, all with furnishings and bed linen. We were on hand throughout the bookings to assist with anything and everything; both in the lead up to and during the hire; but generally just leave them to it while they're here. We also allow bring-your-own tent pitches and campervan pitches for those who prefer that and don't want to stay in a bell tent.

Our pricing is extremely competitive in comparison to other local outdoor event spaces and we have the added bonus of already having toilets, showers and mains power on site, saving you the cost of hiring these in separately.
